WitchcraftCon
A Sacred Reciprocity · MMXXVII
Magic is afoot in Portland, and so is reciprocity.
Every tradition gathered under this roof carries some version of the same law: what you take, you give back. Land, ancestors, community, spirit, the practitioners who built these traditions understood that power without reciprocity curdles into extraction. WitchcraftCon was built on that same law before a single vendor was booked or a single ticket went on sale.
Charitable giving is not a marketing line for this event. It is a structural commitment. A portion of every ticket sold at WitchcraftCon goes directly to organizations doing essential work in this community, starting with our founding charitable partners, Oregon Food Bank and Planned Parenthood Columbia Willamette.

Oregon Food Bank's mission is to eliminate hunger and its root causes, because no one should be hungry. Their work reaches communities across Oregon and Southwest Washington, and it goes well beyond food boxes. Oregon Food Bank works across the systems that create hunger in the first place: barriers to employment, housing, healthcare, and income. It is exacting, unglamorous, essential work, centered in racial and social justice, and it is exactly the kind of work this community understands in its bones.
We approached Oregon Food Bank because their mission matched the values we wanted at the center of this event from year one. We are proud and genuinely excited to call them a founding charitable partner.
A portion of every ticket sold at WitchcraftCon supports Oregon Food Bank directly. No asterisks, no minimum purchase. Every attendee who joins us in 2027 is already part of this.

Planned Parenthood Columbia Willamette exists to provide, promote, and protect access to sexual and reproductive health care, for people of every identity and circumstance. Nine health centers across Oregon and Southwest Washington deliver contraception, abortion care, gender-affirming care, STI testing, cancer screenings, and pregnancy support to more patients each year than any other nonprofit family planning provider in the region, regardless of income, insurance, immigration status, or orientation.
That work has never been more contested, or more necessary. As access to reproductive and gender-affirming care narrows across much of the country, bodily autonomy remains a line this community will not let anyone move. Witches, healers, and practitioners have tended to bodies the mainstream turned away for centuries. Standing behind Planned Parenthood Columbia Willamette continues that lineage.

Learn More About Planned Parenthood Columbia WillametteHunger is rarely just about food. It is a symptom of exclusion: not enough income, not enough housing stability, not enough of a voice in the systems that shape a life. Oregon Food Bank works across those systems rather than just around their edges, and that approach is precisely the kind of work this community recognizes and respects.
Portland's pagan and esoteric community has always taken care of its own, informally, through mutual aid, potlucks, shared resources, and quiet acts of generosity long before a festival existed to gather it in one place. WitchcraftCon exists to bring that community together for a weekend. It only made sense that the event itself would also give something back to the place, and the people, who made it possible.
The same logic extends to healthcare. Autonomy over one's own body, and the right to make private decisions about it without interference, sits near the center of nearly every tradition represented at this festival. Planned Parenthood Columbia Willamette protects that autonomy for patients across Oregon and Southwest Washington, especially for the underserved and disenfranchised who have the fewest other doors open to them. In a political climate that keeps testing how far that access can be rolled back, this community shows up for the people doing that work.
Because no one should be hungry. That is Oregon Food Bank's mission, and now it is a piece of ours too.
Care. No matter what. That is Planned Parenthood's promise, and this community stands behind it.
Announcement to Follow
In the months ahead, WitchcraftCon will host a silent auction featuring pieces from artists, makers, and practitioners across this community, with one hundred percent of proceeds split evenly between Oregon Food Bank and Planned Parenthood Columbia Willamette. Details on donating an item, bidding, and attending will be announced as the event draws closer.
As WitchcraftCon grows in scope and reach, so will its charitable partnerships. Future years will bring additional organizations into this circle, chosen with the same care we bring to every vendor, performer, and partner who joins this event.
If you lead or work with an organization doing work this community should know about, we want to hear from you.
