Magic is afoot in Portland.

April 30 — May 2, 2027

About the Event

What is WitchcraftCon?

Portland's first curated festival celebrating pagan culture, ancient traditions, world mythology, magic, independent music, cinema, live performance, and the practitioners, seekers, artists, and dreamers who make this city one of the most vibrant esoteric communities in the country.

When is WitchcraftCon?

Hexennacht through Beltane — April 30 through May 2, 2027.

Why those dates?

WitchcraftCon opens on Hexennacht, April 30 — the oldest witch night in the Northern European tradition. The night fires were lit on mountaintops, practitioners gathered, and the veil thinned before Beltane arrived at dawn. We close on May 2, the day after Beltane. The calendar chose these dates long before we did.

What traditions and paths are represented?

WitchcraftCon is built for the full spectrum. Magic and ceremonial practice. Scholarly mythologists and lifelong practitioners. People who have been in community for decades and people who are just beginning to find their way. Ancient traditions from cultures around the world. Paths that have been practiced openly for generations and paths that are only now finding public space.

No tradition is centered above another. No path is turned away. If magic, mythology, esoteric history, or the edges of the ordinary world call to you, this event was built with you in mind.

What can I expect at the event?

A curated vendor market (Minerva's Market), author panels and scholarly programming, hands-on workshops, a reader and practitioner lounge, an occult and pagan cinema program, and evening performances featuring live music and performance art. Full programming details will be announced as the event approaches.
